While AAA estimates that there will be fewer travelers on the road this year compared to last year, still as many as 84.5 million Americans may still travel from December 23 though January 3, 2021.

1. Plan Ahead
Make sure your vehicle is properly maintained and in good working order. Plan your route in advance and be prepared for heavier than normal traffic. Always assign a designated driver or call a rideshare program. The NHTSA reports that one person is killed about every 50 minutes in a drunk-driving crash, resulting in more than 10,500 lives lost each year.
